CHANCE, 7 mo male Pocket Bull Terrier/Pitty Mix Chance is incredibly sweet, he knows to sit on command, he likes to be right by your feet, and he loves to snuggle. He rolls over a lot for belly rubs =) He just needs some patient guidance and he will be a great dog! He is so young and still has time to learn to control his feistiness! RESCUE STORY - He found dumped on the road side as a little pup. He was in bad shape and taken to the vet immediately where he was diagnosed with upper respiratory infection. **You can meet Samson at Petco Saturday 5/27/17 from 11-3 at 2717 W Park Row Dr, Arlington, TX 76013** SAMSON 5 yrs Mastiff Rottie mix 95 lbs, but will be around 115 lbs Samson enjoys other dogs but appears to prefer a home without other dogs. Samsom is a gentle giant who is a smart, calm, easy, submissive, confident big companion who is not only a self proclaimed professional hangout buddy but he is equally passionate about playing ball. He is great with older kids (due to his size, no small children), women, men and dogs. He takes treats oh so gently. He currently lives with 6 other large dogs and 2 parrots. His previous owner took him to the dog park regularly. Samson enjoys getting on the 1st step of his foster mom's pool. Big bonus-Samson doesn't mind going outside to potty in the rain! RESCUE STORY - Samson was adopted from the Arlington Animal Shelter in 2013. This family surrendered him back to the Arlington Animal Shelter on 3/21/17 along with his bff Maximus (still at the shelter in adoptions - Who is an awesome dog!) after his owner divorced and moved into a apartment that did not allow big dogs. He was then adopted from the shelter, but the dogs in the home did not like Samson and tried to attack him, so he was surrendered to his foster mom. He should be around 115 lbs, while at the a Arlington Animal Shelter he weighed 83 lbs. His owner says Samson appetite significantly decreased when her husband moved out of the house, who Samson was very bonded with. Now that he is in a foster home, he is eating 6-7 cups of food a day and is gaining weight. Questions? Lilly is a happy, smart, alert, atheletic, obedient, affectionate girl who loves kids, women. men and dogs. She loves to snuggle with people and dogs. She would be a great jogging partner. Lilly is house trained and will let you know when she needs to go outside. Lilly sleeps where ever she wants to at night, which is usally sandwiched between her foster mom and another dog. Lilly does not bark in her crate, at the doorbell, really under no conditions. She has a high prey drive and considers herself a professional squirrel hunter. She would not be a good match for a home with cats, parrots, or anything small and furry. She can jump a 6 ft fence to try and get to a squirrel (this has only happened once in her foster home). To prevent this, her foster mom (who has a 6 ft fence) is always outside with her to redirect her attention when she gets too focused. She has an excellent recall that she is praised for multiple times a day. Lilly's rescue story - She was found by her foster mom, on her lunch break, Dec 2014 with a puppy on Beach and 1st in Fort Worth. Both Lilly and the puppy, Tux, were starving, covered in fleas and filled with worms. She loaded them in her car drove them home. Lilly and Tux were adopted together Jan 2015 but when the family split up in Dec 2016, they returned Lilly due to her ability to jump their fence. The single mom did not have the time to watch Lilly when she went outside. Tux remained in the home who is a couch potatoe compared to Lilly.
